アメリカのアトモスフェリックブラックメタルバンド、Panopticon の新アルバム「The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness (I and II)」が発売されました。スウェーデンの Nordvis Produktion からのリリースです。
Panopticon は A. Lunn のソロプロジェクトで、2007年にケンタッキー州で活動を開始し、現在までに本作を含む9枚のアルバムをリリースしています。本作は2018年に別々にリリースされた、The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness Part 1 と Part 2 をまとめた、2枚組の作品になります。
A. Lunn は2012年から中西部の森に住んでおり、北欧メタル、アメリカ民族音楽などに影響を受けており、様々なジャンルを好むコレクター・リスナーでもあります。歌詞については以前は政治的、社会的な問題、スピリチュアリズムが主でしたが、現在は自然界からインスピレーションを受けた自身について書いています。
